John Gallino is a versatile, upcoming filmmaker from northern New Jersey. Our Lips Are Sealed is his first feature documentary, which he filmed, edited, and partially scored. John has worked on commercials, short films and music videos, as well as writing and directing two short films of his own. Minor Transaction, filmed in 2009, is a dark comedy about a shady exchange behind a grocery store. John's script took home an Achievement in Writing award at Ramapo College's 9th Annual Media Collision Festival. His short film, Dope Sick, is about a dysfunctional relationship with a heroin addict. John himself played the lead role. It took home an award for cinematography.
In 2010, John started Shoot The Freak, a production team of young and talented collaborators he's met over the years. He often turns to them when looking for a crew for a project. Prior to filmmaking, John worked several years as a professional photographer. He lives in Maywood, NJ.
Kelly Dolak is a documentary and fiction film writer and producer. Our Lips Are Sealed is her second documentary feature. Her first feature, Postcards from Tora Bora, was an official selection at the TriBeCa Film Festival. She started out in TV working for the Emmy-award winning show Behind The Scenes for five years at AMC and has worked on segments for Al Jazeera English. She currently lives in Trumansburg, NY with her family.
